Do Network Marketing People Have The Proper Opportunity Perspective?

Don’t Pitch Money, A different approach
for Network Marketing people.

When I first got into network marketing it seemed that all the network marketing people I met were obsessed with the money they could potentially earn. There is a reason this can be detrimental to your business.

I really wish I could tell you I was better than just focused on the money, but I was also preoccupied with dreams of riches beyond my wildest imagination.

One day I was cruising through YouTube or Blog Surfing when I came across a video that really changed the way I view my business and it was completely different from what I had been observing from the network marketing people around me.

Unfortunately, I can’t recall who made the video, so my apologies to person who did the video, I’d like to give you credit. Sorry again if it was you.

After watching that video and putting heeding his advise it really help my recruiting.

The message of the video was really simple.

One of the most effective ways to be more prosperous in your business is to forget about
trying to recruit people so you can get a signing bonus. Most network marketing people are all about the money.

But, if you make a simple tweak to your mindset, you will be more effective in getting prospects
join you in your business.

If you have solid belief in your Network Marketing Company, then odds are good that you are promoting a product that will benefit the people you are presenting your company to. If you have a genuine interest in helping the people you present your business to, they will see it in your presentation.

If your motivations are all about making a lot of fast money it will show in the way you present your network marketing opportunity, all you will do is focus on all the money people will make, that may not be what your prospects motivation, it starts to sound like ”it’s too good to be true” and you will turn most people off.

Help Instead Of Pitch

On the other hand if you demonstrate all the benefits to your product or service, people are more apt to listen to what you have to say, even if your MLM doesn’t directly benefit your prospect, they may know someone it will help. Remember, a key element to long term residual income from your MLM is the purchase of your product or service.

Of course you present the business opportunity aspect of your business, this may be a potential business partner, but don’t make it the main focus of your presentation, this is a common mistake amongst network marketing people.

So remember to emphasize the benefits of your product and only mention the business opportunity, if your prospect is motivated by money, they will ask about the opportunity aspects of you business.  This is a key strategy to a successful business that network marketing people seem to overlook.

There is a solid back door strategy for people to join the opportunity aspect of your business using this technique. I will write a future blog post on that strategy, so keep an eye out for it.

  1. Great article, Alex. As network marketers, I agree that we should focus on our prospects’ needs and wants. Some will be interested in the product only, while others want to create income and a better lifestyle. We really have to listen to individual prospects to understand what’s most important to them. At the same time, we have to balance the vision of our business goals. We all need business partners in order to be successful. But hundreds of satisfied customers who love the products…now that’s a good thing.

  2. Thank you Cindy for visiting my blog.

Thank you Cindy for you comments,
I hope to see you here again soon.

  3. Alex, this is so true. When I got into network marketing, I too was obsessed with the compensation plan but I have come to realise that building a successful network marketing is more than that.
